We have been very busy working on some behind the scenes improvements on our client portal and website. We are happy to announce that we are in the final stages of testing and we should be ready to launch both towards the end of January 2012.
New & Improved Client Portal
Over the last 6 months we have been developing and testing our new Client Portal, we have listened to our clients and worked as many feature requests in as we could.
General Changes
- New client area design
We have introduced a fresh new client area design which will match our new website and increase usability for our clients. This also features a new navigation system with drop down menus and improved check out scripts using the latest AJAX technology. - Account Credits
We are introducing a new way to add funds into your account. From this release onwards clients can deposit money into your account to put against any future invoices that may arise. This is useful for customers wanting to Auto-Renew domains and services without a Credit or Debit card. - Default Billing Method
Clients will soon be able to change the default payment method on products and services without contacting support. - List sorting & Product Groups
As part of the improved client area design, products and services will now be listed in sortable groups, e.g. Shared Hosting & Dedicated Servers will appear in separate sections making management easier.
Domain Name Management
- 5 Nameservers
The new portal will be able to handle 5 nameservers instead of the previous 4. - Bulk Domain Management
A much requested feature was bulk domain name management. Our new version will allow clients to manage nameservers, auto renewal status, registrar lock status, renewals and contact information in bulk. - WHOIS Contact Information Improvements
Clients will be able to use existing account information as WHOIS contact information for Domains. Clients can have as many contacts and sub accounts as required, a simple drop down box will let you assign a contact for each the Administrative, Technical and Billing WHOIS information.
Services – Shared Hosting (cPanel)
- Auto-Cancellation
All shared hosting packages will now be subject to automatic cancellation when requested through the Client Portal.
Services – Dedicated Servers
- Improved Bandwidth Graphs
Our graphing server has been upgraded and all graphs will be viewable in real time via the Client Portal. We will also be supporting multiple graphs and aggregate graphs for clients with complex hosting setups. - Port Statistics
We will also be introducing real time port statistics including packet counters to help diagnose issues such as duplex and speed mismatches. - Improved Remote Reboots
Our automatic remote reboots will be improved to give additional feedback including the current status of the reboot port.
Services – Rackspace & Colocation
- Improved Bandwidth Graphs
Our graphing server has been upgraded and all graphs will be viewable in real time via the Client Portal. We will also be supporting multiple graphs and aggregate graphs for clients with complex hosting setups. - Port Statistics
We will also be introducing real time port statistics including packet counters to help diagnose issues such as duplex and speed mismatches. - Improved Remote Reboots
Our automatic remote reboots will be improved to give additional feedback including the current status of the reboot port. - Power Graphs
Where applicable we will be introducing historical power usage graphs for your racks or colocation gear.
Support
- Our ticketing system will also be upgraded and integrated into the Client Portal. More detals on this to follow.
